Happy Valentine’s…Last Minute DIY printables

Today’s post was previously posted on our blog last year. I thought it might help some of you who need some last minute help/inspiration. Be sure to visit our website for stationery here.

The day we have been waiting for has finally come. The day of love. If you are a lot like me, too busy that you didn’t have much time to plan the day, then this segment is perfect. If you need some last-minute ideas or stationery then you’ll love this post! Fresh DIY ideas and printables to make your day run smoothly! These photo shoots  (yes, plural because there is another on it’s way) were created specifically for you, the viewer. If you’ve decided to stay in this year for Valentine’s, you can put together a beautiful setting all while using the lovely pieces you have in your home. Pull out all of your fine china and fancy glasses, candles, and a nice tablecloth, and  flowers from that beautiful bouquet your Valentine sent you, you can put together this look.

Remember that morning we skipped work and escaped to the top of Mt. Soledad? On our way there we listened to this song. This song always reminds me of the warmth on our faces, the laughs, and the absolute nerve to be free!! Love you Irish!

Ultimate San Diego Wedding – Janell and Matt

WOW!! It’s been a long while since I have blogged!! Oops! I felt that I would kick off my blogging for 2012 with an awesome collaboration put together by San Diego’s very best!

Recently, Nic.Roc. Designs was pretty lucky to be chosen for a wonderful event- a wedding sponsored by some amazing vendors in San Diego, The Ultimate San Diego Wedding. It is a completely donated wedding to one lucky couple who has dealt with considerable challenging moments in their lives.

This was the second successful year that Bridal Insider has sponsored this event with the help of  Star 94.1FM. Courtney Tibbets of After the Engagement was top choice as the wedding planner to put forth her vision and direction for a “brunch” themed wedding! Super cute, right??!! Her color palette was complete with fun and happy colors such as bubble gum pink, yellow, turquoise and teal, grays, and a pop of red!

When I found out that Courtney along with the Bridal Insider had chosen me to be a part of such an amazing event, I was soo thrilled!! Our discussion for invites were to be something fun and bright, and that I did!

When the big day finally came, it was perfect-The weather, the dress, the bride and groom, the flowers, the cake (Oh, the PANCAKE Stack CAKE by Hey There, Cupcake!!), desserts, venue. Everything came together so nicely!! See it all in the amazing video of Jannell and Matt, from SidebySide Cinema!!

..::A Sweet MOM’S DAY::..

Hello Everyone!

I’m slowly but surely getting back into my blogging groove! Super excited to share with you all that Nic.Roc. Designs has been featured on the Pizzazzerie; one of the most fun and inspirational website/blogs I have ever seen! So as you can imagine, I’m super excited to see our  work on Pizzazzerie.

Let’s get to the good stuff…

We teamed up with the adorable Sarah from Tailored Sweets (some of the best treats ever!!!) and Bryan of Bryan N. Miller Photography   to put together this Mom’s Day inspiration shoot. We wanted to create something you could recreate at home.

Sarah created beautifully colored desserts (which I couldn’t resist tasting) to match our pastel palette. She made amazing Sugar and Spice cake pops, coated with white chocolate. Mmm! Mini Lemon and Raspberry cupcakes. Vanilla cake with Buttercream (pink, aquamarine, and yellow cakes).  This can be an amazing layout for your MOM after brunch or in combination with finger foods for lunch or dessert.  Add our free printables and even better! We guarantee your MOM will love it!!

Hope you have been inspired and will treat your Mom to some amazing sweets!

We’re BACK….finally!

It’s been a long while since my last blog. Needless to say, we’ve been busy at Nic.Roc. Designs! We just signed our contract with San Diego Style Weddings, in which we will be advertising in the October 2011 – September 2012 magazines.

We’ve been creating some amazing and unique invitations over here. Pictures soon to come!

In addition to invitation design, we’ve been working on new branding identities for Skyline Ranch Weddings, Beauti on the Go, Market Pulse Wealth Management, and BlueWater Endowment. They have all been super fun to work with and it’s totally awesome to watch as these businesses grow, and to know we are a part of it all!

We’re currently working with creative and sweet Sarah Stuckenschneider, of Tailored Sweets , on an upcoming photoshoot for Mother’s Day! It’s going to be so much fun and so inspirational, and to let you all in on a little secret there will be FREE printables!

We hired a new designer, Katie, and we’re working on some new designs. We’ve decided after much debate, to post printable designs on Etsy, with the goal of offering printed designs as well as diecut place cards, tags, labels, and more.  There is definitely going to be a wide array of designs to choose from, shabby chic to a little bit of goth. That’s how we roll. We’re looking to launch this baby soon! Thinking sometime this week??!! Shannon is working endlessly to create our storefront.
